HISTORY

Founded in 1891, Langley is a historic seaside village located on the southeastern tip of Whidbey Island. Originally a logging and farming town, it soon developed into a key shipping port due to its access to Saratoga Passage. Named after settler Jacob Anthes’ business partner, Judge J.W. Over the years, Langley attracted writers, artists, and craftsmen, evolving into a vibrant cultural community while preserving much of its historic architecture and small-town charm.
