At our local real estate brokerage here in Skagit County, Washington, we believe real estate is about far more than buying and selling homes. It’s about people, neighborhoods, and the strength of the community that makes this place home. That’s why we’re proud to be contributors to the Skagit Community Foundation (SCF) and to stand alongside an organization that continues to show up for Skagit County in meaningful, lasting ways.
This past year was nothing short of extraordinary for the Skagit Community Foundation. Together with donors, partners, and community members, SCF raised more than $4 million in charitable support and distributed over $2.75 million in grants and community investments, supporting 176 nonprofit organizations across our county. These numbers reflect not only generosity, but trust—trust in an organization deeply committed to stewardship, accountability, and impact. We’re also inspired by the creation of eight new donor-established funds, each designed to strengthen Skagit County for generations to come.
In 2025, SCF’s role expanded even further when devastating December floods affected many of our neighbors. In response, the Foundation stepped into a catalytic leadership role—mobilizing resources quickly, forming new partnerships, and launching programs tailored to meet the urgent and diverse needs of flood-affected families. Through intentional collaboration and purposeful action, SCF demonstrated how philanthropy can respond with both urgency and care during times of crisis.
The Skagit Disaster Relief Fund continues to support immediate relief and long-term recovery, ensuring funds are thoughtfully distributed to those with verified property damage and ongoing needs. Recovery takes time, and SCF remains committed to stewarding these resources responsibly while adapting to what our community needs most. We’re grateful to play a small part in supporting this important work.
Beyond crisis response, SCF’s Annual Grant Cycles highlight the incredible dedication of local nonprofits—each application telling a story of vision, hard work, and progress. As grants are reviewed and awards finalized this spring, we’re reminded how much good happens every day across Skagit County because of organizations and volunteers who care deeply about this place.
We also want to recognize SCF’s receipt of the 2025 Candid (formerly GuideStar) Platinum Seal of Transparency, an honor that reflects their commitment to accountability, strategic planning, and measurable impact. This level of transparency reinforces why we’re proud contributors and partners.
As a local real estate brokerage, we see firsthand how strong communities create strong housing markets—and how giving back helps ensure Skagit County remains a place where people can thrive. Supporting organizations like the Skagit Community Foundation is one way we invest not just in homes, but in the heart of our community.
We’re grateful to SCF, its leadership, donors, and nonprofit partners for the work they do every day. Together, we’re helping Skagit County remain resilient, connected, and full of opportunity—for today and for the future.
